Black Beach Art Book Fair

The Black Beach Art Book Fair debuts as a landmark event in the Twin Cities' cultural calendar, bringing together vibrant art and publishing communities for a weekend of coffee, art, and books. Founded by Benjamin Peterson of Black Beach Coffee, with contributions from Brad Zellar and Erinn Springer, this fair offers a dynamic platform for artists, publishers, and cultural innovators.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Exhibitors: Top publishers and artists from across the U.S. and abroad, including Deadbeat Club, TBW Books, Nazraeli Press, Mack Books, Stanley Barker, TIS Books, and more. Local highlights include Idea House 3, Birchwood Palace Industries, Paul Shambroom, Nocturno Books, and more.
Programming: Panel conversations with notable creatives such as Alec Soth, AJ Girard, Bobby Carter (NPR Tiny Desk), Sabiha Çimen, Amanda Hunt (Walker Art Center), Pao Houa Her, Nicholas Schonberger, and Erinn Springer.
Featured Installation: The Ice House by Erinn Springer, a patient observation of the drama and beauty around a storied structure in Lake Superior.
Black Beach Cafe: Serving specialty coffee, espresso drinks, cocktails, beer, and wine throughout the fair.
Special Display: Hennepin Made's The Nested Collection by Jackson Schwartz, showcasing local craftsmanship.
